Introduction
SRTool is very simple tool for automatic conversion of commonly used text subtitles into SRT format. SRT is accepted by many multimedia players, both hardware (like PS3) and software (like Perian). It started as a tool for my private usage, but decided to share it with you
Current version is 0.9.5 (published on August 20, 2009) - download now, release notes.
Previous versions: 0.9.3 (published on July 25, 2009).
Features and requirements
- Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard”
- Converts mDVD and MPL2 subtitles.
- Input is supposed to be CP-1250, uutput is always in UTF-8.
- If AVI file is found along mDVD subtitles, tool tries to detect its frame rate. Otherwise user is asked for framerate.
